In December of 2008 Brian Hartenstein and family left America for an adventurous life overseas to live and work throughout Asia, raising three daughters with a sense of wonder and awe at the possibility of the world. It is now 2016 and the adventure continues back home in Oregon. This blog remains as a time capsule to that period. Thank you so much to all our friends around the world. Please stay in touch. We miss you all!

Slugs and Snails / Sugar and Spice
Driving back to Colton through Oregon's liquid sun... Grammy's Birthday is upon us again.
Aunt Christi is fond of asking her boys what they're made of... their answer of course is, "Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails." Little girls...? she inquires. "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice."
Rebekah's American Journal: "We awoke to pancakes and hammered nails and poured cement into a hole. Grammy is 75 and now 76 years old and we had a big party for her. There was a thunder storm... and 3 rainbows..."
Raising daughters... driving around on tangents chasing rainbow tails... that's what fatherhood is made of. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!)
